Early detection of Acid Plant Moisture Leak and process gas dew point

Most phosphate fertilizer production facilities have one or more sulfuric acid production trains integrated into the manufacturing process. During the production of sulfuric acid, there are many areas susceptible to the ingress of moisture into the process, creating a potential for premature equipment failure, process downtime and H2 safety hazards. The Breen-SA Probe provides an early warning for moisture leaks in the system.

When moisture leaks into the fertilizer production process, there will be condensation of vapors onto the process duct work and heat exchange equipment. The Breen SA-Probe will detect this condensation and alert the operators of potential problems.

Additionally, the Breen SA-Probe will provide a process gas dew point trend, giving operators an early indication of increasing moisture ingress into the process before traditional plant methods would show the same.

The Breen-SA Probe is ideally suited for this application. This system was specifically developed for this challenging environment to provide an early warning for moisture leaks in the system.
